Alright then! First, everyone we are going to doggy paddle on our boards out past the in bound current. You can't front crawl without being on the board, the waves just grab it and take you both to shore. You also can't leg kick, because you will need all the power you can use to get over the waves! You will want to sit on your board after you get to the start, then kneel, and stand. Stand only when you have thrust on one side, or you'll be fighting a three-dimensional balance act.
It's a 200 meter Sprint to the start, so let's get going.

The kid sits with his surfboard on the beach looking out at the mid day turning of the tide, the blue skies, Cumulonimbus clouds ascending into the stratos, jet contrails grid the sky.
"Well buddy, summer vacation is over and school is back in session" the boy says sitting next to a sea turtle he'd written the name 'Crush' on with window chalk. The turtle pauses to look up, the returns to eating the rest of a crab he'd be stalking along the reef.
"You know buddy? Maybe next summer will be even better? Hmm? I hope the others had fun too.... though you seem to be the only one around to talk to right at the moment." The turtle eats the last of the crab and starts to turn back to the ocean waves as the tide turns back in. Moments of nostalgic silence pass on the beach 'Paradise.'
