Do Japanese women ever feel intimidated or put off by how women are represented in manga and anime? I'm seeing a trend of obtrusive sexing up in images as time goes by. Not everything, of course, but it is becoming more prevalent.

As disappointing as it is, the majority of Japanese women in a video survey responded that "it seems to appeal to that type of person." They meant that 1. they don't care for "that type of person." and 2. They respect the person's right to access "what they like."
The women of the interview essentially meant that they remove themselves from anyone who likes anime. There were only 2 asian-american women who took an American type of initiative to say that they don't like all of the designs, that it's an art, but that it needs to stop.
