Perhaps I'm blinded to modern genius creativity because of being spoiled by the brilliance that is Serial Experiments: Lain; but I really miss this kind of imagination!

Dude, YES. Lain is in my top 5 anime! I love this series!

I think SEL is just one of those anime that is timeless, that no matter where or when you watch it, you are just immersed into its unique world, and the whole thing is multi-layered too with a psychological plane as well as symbolic path to it. Yes, this is truly a master piece.
