I was mostly a Dragon Ball kid though, and years later I found out my mother only allowed me to watch DB and DBZ because the dead characters would be revived.
From what I'm told, I cried a lot watching Lion King so I assume she didn't want to go through that again lol.

I avoided watching Sailor Moon when I was a kid because it was perceived as "for girls only". I regret that now, half the stuff I watch has female protagonists lol.
