I think I've seen this scene from some animation before, but I can't remember where I've seen this from. The mother had a tradition with her daughter that they would drink lemon aid while watching the sun set. The mother didn't want the daughter to know when she had passed away, so that she could assume her mother didn't suffer. I think that's the logic behind sending someone to go get drinks during the last moments of life. --Instead of death, the mother should be immortalized in the memory of lemonaide time.
