It makes sense, but isn't Guardian Signs a spin-off with flat graphics and poor physics? Just sayin'.

Oh Arceus. Last time I played that game, I walked over a tree, walked over a rock, and walked on top of lava. Poor programming indeed. But I really dig Shadows of Almia, because it's overworld is a lot neater.
