This rather uniquely shaped car is the Chevrolet Corvette (C3) affectionately named the Corvette Stingray (in production 1967-1982). A quick tip to you guys, the C followed by a number in the Corvette name indicates the generation of the model. For example, since this is the C3, this is a third generation Corvette. The car was based on the 1964 Mako Shark II concept. I am assuming the car is post 1977, as that was the year they changed the checkered flag emblem on the hood of the Corvette. Some extra trivia, the name Corvette comes from a lightly armed warship.
