V1 An [[original]] character interacting with a canon character from a franchise, especially when romantically and/or sexually paired together. Especially prevalent with images with commissioner ([[commissioner_insert]]) or artist ([[artist_self-insert]]) inserted.

Custom playable characters from games such as the [[Mirai_Senshi]] or [[Tav_(Baldur's_Gate)]] count as original characters.

Unnamed or [[faceless]] characters don't count.
