A blonde teen girl who wears a red hair ribbon. She is the star of Codename wa Sailor V and is one of the main characters of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.

She is the most experienced out of the magical girls in Sailor Moon and has already made a name for herself by the start of said series. The manga Codename wa Sailor V, which predates Sailor Moon, shows how she started her work as a magical girl.

She is a cheerful and athletic teen girl who is also skilled at video games. She is often derided for her lack of femininity, which upsets her but she refuses to change her ways. She is quite boy crazy and has a habit of declaring any attractive male she sees to be her first love but unfortunately for her, she is unlucky when it comes to love.

Despite her goofy personality, she proves to be a highly capable magical girl in her Sailor_Venus identity. As Sailor V, she dons a mask and a sailor suit. She also has a pen that she can use to transform herself into various disguises. In combat, she often kicks her opponents and uses a crescent moon compact. By the time the Sailor Moon series takes place, she has become proficient in swordsmanship.

As Sailor V, she becomes a mysterious and well known crime fighter who is beloved by the public and has earned the infatuation of the female police superintendent Sakurada Natsuna who hopes to get Sailor V to work with the police. She is resented by Sakurada's subordinate Wakagi Toshio because he sees her as making the police and himself look bad with her crime fighting success. He also tends to be punished by Sakurada.

Her partner is Artemis, a white cat, who is responsible for awakening her as a magical girl.

While she is a comical character in the manga and anime, the live action version portrays her as a serious person who rarely smiles.

She is voiced by Fukami_Rika. In the live action drama she is played by Komatsu_Ayaka. For the Sailor Moon stage musicals, she has been played by Suzuki Nana, Yamashita Sakae, Soya Chizuru, Nakaya Kanatsu, Miyazawa Akiko, Otani Miyu, Inada Nao, Murata Ayumi, Watanabe Mizuki, Shibuya Momoko, Erica, and Sakata Shiori. She is also voiced by Cherami Leigh in the VIZ redub of the original Sailor Moon anime.
