Yeah me neither. Newgrounds came out in 1995. Almost THREE decades old. I wish I could have lived then and saw the internet in it's infancy. I'd imagine it'd feel like a vast lonely sea with glistening customized islands in the form of colorful and amatuer blogs and forums.
I'm not sure I would describe it like that, but it certainly was something. I still remember a good number of flash animations I used to watch, most of the stuff on Newgrounds in particular was pretty edgy though. MySpace and GeoCities were pretty popular at the time as well. It's probably for the better that those died off when they did, there are better ways to do blogging now anyways. One thing I do miss though is written guides, they're slowly dying out in favour of video guides on youtube.
